spnd does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
spnd asks for your location once when you open the app, and again if it detects you've changed countries. This is used only to guess which currency you're spending in (for example, setting TWD automatically if you've landed in Taiwan) so you don't have to search for it yourself.
spnd only requests coarse (city-level) location accuracy - enough to determine a country and currency code, not your exact position. Your location is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us, stored, logged, or shared with any third party. We don't operate a server that receives it - there is no backend for this app to call.
You can decline location access entirely and still use spnd; you'll just need to pick your currencies manually.
spnd fetches current exchange rates from a third-party rate provider (open.er-api.com) so your conversions stay accurate. This is a one-way request for public rate data - no information about you, your device, or your location is sent as part of it.
Your favorite currencies, recently used currencies, and home currency are stored locally on your device only. This information never leaves your phone.
spnd has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We don't know who uses the app, and we can't - there's simply no mechanism for it.
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
