How to use spnd
- Auto-detect: on first launch (and whenever you change countries), spnd uses your location to set the currency you're spending in automatically.
- Convert: type an amount in the top field - the converted amount in your home currency shows instantly below it.
- Favorites: tap the list icon next to your favorite currencies to add more, or open any currency's star to favorite/unfavorite it. Long-press and drag a favorite to reorder it - your most-used currency can sit first.
- Recent: currencies you've used recently show up in their own section in the picker, so getting back to one is never more than a tap.
- Search: the picker's search matches both currency codes and country names - typing "japan" finds JPY just as well as typing "jpy" does.
Troubleshooting
- Wrong currency after landing somewhere new: make sure Location is allowed for spnd in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. spnd only checks on launch and on a country change, not continuously.
- Rates look out of date: spnd syncs rates automatically when you have a connection, and falls back to the last synced rates when offline - check the "Rates synced..." line at the bottom of the screen for how fresh they are.
- Don't want to grant location access: spnd works fully without it - just pick your currencies manually from the picker.
